NALC's Political Action Fund helps elect friends of letter carriers
 STATE ASSOCIATION HOLDS RAFFLE FOR COLLCPE

The State Association held a fundraiser for COLCPE at the Summer Training session hosted by NALC Br. 2225 Decatur, GA on June 2 & 3, 2007. A total of $1,140.00 was raised and forwarded to the COLCPE fund.

Many contributed $5.00 and $10.00 to help boost the total amount raised. Tiawanna Jackson of Branch 73 was the big winner who then donated an additional $100.00 of her winnings to COLCPE.

Due to the new rules for conducting fundraising, the State Executive Board determined that a 50/50 raffle will be utilized to stay within the guidelines posted for future COLCPE activities held at State functions. If you wish to view the regulations, they are posted on the NALC website.

For further recognition, the State has authorized lapel pens showing participation in the COLCPE program. Those pins were presented at the training session to the Branches in attendance for presentation to their members..

In support of President Young's Gimme 5 promotion, the State Executive Board encourages all members not already participating to sign up for automatic payroll deduction contributions to COLCPE
